Yurek Pharmacy Ltd. is an Ontario Corporation, and operates under the name Yurek Pharmacy. It is a family business with strong ties to the community it serves; Edward Yurek founded the company as a "Main Street" pharmacy in 1963, and retired in 1996, handing the business over to his sons, Peter and Jeff. They both grew up in the pharmacy, working as stock boys and gradually moving through every position in the company; this gave them a thorough understanding of each area of operation. Both went on to graduate as licensed pharmacists; Peter in 1983, and Jeff in 1995.
As they took over full operation of the store, the Yurek brothers recognized the dramatic changes occurring in the healthcare industry, and since 1996 they have continually re-engineered the company to take advantage of these changes. |
